To our Residents and the Manassas Park Community,

City staff and leadership were informed recently that the Prince William Health District has reported the first death related to COVID-19 in Manassas Park. We are deeply saddened to receive such news, and express our sincerest condolences to the family and friends affected during this difficult time. Our thought and prayers are with you.

As we cope through this difficult situation, we want to remind residents of the very real danger that this virus poses. We thank our residents for staying home, avoiding crowds, and practicing social distancing during the past several weeks and urge everyone to stay committed to these important actions. Your efforts and sacrifices are helping slow the spread of COVID-19 and save lives. Please continue to follow CDC recommended guidelines during this pandemic: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

Such a tragedy is felt hardest in a community as small and close-knit as ours. Please know that your local government is doing everything we can to protect your health and serve you during these challenging times.
