The Office of the City Assessor is responsible for the valuation of all real property within the City limits. In addition to determining the value of land and buildings, we maintain a computerized database of assessment information specific to each parcel. This information includes ownership information, deed and plat references, and specific improvement or building information.
The information generated and maintained by our office is widely used by real estate agents and brokers, attorneys, title search personnel, prospective homebuyers, sellers, surveyors, and private appraisers. Assessment records, however, are only updated once each year in April to reflect physical changes during the previous year. For new additions or construction it may be necessary to access additional sources.
