To our Manassas Park Community:
The Governor lifted the universal indoor mask mandate in May of this year to align with the new guidance from CDC. Specifically, all fully vaccinated individuals do not have to wear masks in most indoor settings. This is primarily due to dramatically lowered case counts, hospitalization rates, and deaths. The City aligns with the State and CDC’s guidance on public health recommendations. Those who are unvaccinated or not fully-vaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear masks in all settings. Additionally, many City employees have been vaccinated, and those who are fully vaccinated have the option of not wearing their mask at work. However, some staff who are fully vaccinated may choose to wear a mask based on their comfort level. We encourage all staff and residents who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing a mask while inside city facilities.
