Welcome to the City of Manassas Park Department of Parks and Recreation.  The Department of Parks and Recreation is committed to the provision of quality leisure services for the residents of Manassas Park.  Over the years, through the many changes the City has endured, the Department of Parks and Recreation has responded to the growing needs of the community by continuing to work within its mission:

The Department of Parks and Recreation is committed to the improvement of public understanding of the significance of leisure in a full and meaningful life.  Facilities will be made available to provide every citizen of Manassas Park the freedom to enrich their lives through recreational activities and leisure opportunities.

This mission is further supported by the following Department Goals:

To facilitate the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of recreation, park and leisure services.

To provide and manage facilities and public park grounds which enable citizens to participate in individual and/or group activities of their choice.

To provide assistance to local organizations for the promotion of their own recreational programs through use of facilities.

To present a variety of recreational and leisure activities to citizens that enhance self awareness, personal achievement, intellectual growth, and civic responsibility.

The provision of recreation and leisure opportunities in the City of Manassas Park is complementary to the Governing Body’s commitment to citizen ‘quality of life’ and the current professional Parks and Recreation Staff work diligently to ensure that their efforts are in step with the city’s Strategic Plan.

It is a distinct privilege to have the opportunity to serve the citizens of Manassas Park.  Citizens are encouraged to contact the Recreation Office with suggestions for improvement, new programs and constructive critique.

We look forward to an ever-active Spring and Summer.  Remember to register early and we shall see you at the Parks!
