All Parks and facilities are open to the public and may be scheduled for specific use through the Park and Recreation Department at(703) 335 – 8872.  Please note, the rental application is a request only, not a guarantee.

A Facility Use Application is required for all facility reservations.  Special Permits, in addition to the Field Use Application may be required for after hour’s events, special events, or group use.  Payment, if required, must accompany a Facility Use Application.  The department does not accept tentative reservations.  Cancellations must be made at least 14 days in advance for shelters and at least 48 hours in advance for other facility reservations in order to receive a refund.  Applications are available at the Costello Park Business Office.  All rentals are subject to availability and must be booked and paid for 7 days in advance of event.  Certain restrictions may apply.  Rates are on a ‘per hour’ basis, unless otherwise noted.  Deposits are a one time refundable fee, restrictions may apply.

Field Application:

Athletic fields and park grounds are available for rental to registered leagues and group users.  Cost for permits vary on the type of usage and the duration of the request.  All Spring field usage requests are accepted beginning February 1st of each calendar year for a March 15th through July 1st season.  All Fall field usage requests are accepted beginning July 1st of each calendar year for an August 1st – November 15th season. Note: All fields will be assigned by August 15th.  Permits will be issued at time of application approval.

Brief Desciption
25 acre park featuring a recreation center, a community pool, a playground, five baseball fields, three softball fields, two tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, several picnic areas with grills and a covered pavilion.
110 acre site with a Water Park, four multi-purpose fields, an ASA regulation softball field, 100 sq. foot playground, one mile of asphalt trail, large pavilion with restrooms, pond area and several picnic areas with grills.
Block Parks

Brief Desciption
These small parks, ranging in size form a quarter acre to one acre, are located in the residential neighborhood of the eastern area of the city and primarily service the residents local to each site. Block Parks are open year round from 7:30 a.m. until dusk.
Baker Street Park
Features a playground, a covered pavilion and generous amounts of open space.
Scott Drive Park
Features a playground and a small picnic area.
Polk Street Park
Features an outdoor basketball court, a playground, and generous amounts of open space.
Historic Sites

Brief Desciption
The Department of Parks and Recreation serves as custodial authority for the five historic sites in Manassas Park.
The Conner House
A nationally registered antebellum stone house, circa 1855 located in the central region of the city, in view of city hall. The Conner House is currently in the process of being restored and is not open to the general public.
Signal Hill
A nationally registered 13-acre monument site located in the western end of the city, adjacent to Signal Hill Park. Signal Hill is open year round from 7:30 a.m. until dusk.
Camp Carondelet
A nationally registered 8-acre Civil War encampment located in the Blooms Crossing subdivision adjacent to Cougar Elementary School. A series of nature trails are available to the general public between year round from 7:30 a.m. until dusk.
The Georgia Cemetery
Included in the Camp Carondelet nomination, is a civil war cemetery located in the direct vicinity of Camp Carondelet in the Blooms Crossing subdivision. The Georgia Cemetery is available to the general public by permit only.
The Union Mill Trestle
A key structure in the Civil War, is located in the last few remaining acres of the once Union Mill Park near the VRE lot and Generals Ridge Golf Course. Union Mill Trestle is open to the general public year round from 7:30 a.m. until dusk.
