Costello Park (99 Adams Street) is a 25 acre park featuring a recreation center, a community pool, a playground, five baseball fields, three softball fields, two tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, several picnic areas with grills and a covered pavilion. The Manassas Park Yorkshire Little League and the Manassas Park Pigtail-Ponytail Softball League utilize Costello Park as their home field. Costello Park is open year round from 7:30 a.m. until dusk. Also in Costello Park is the Stone House. The Stone House serves the
community as additional meeting space for the various City ‘non-profits’.
The Recreation Center is open to Manassas Park residents upon completion of the Recreation Center Application. All residents of Manassas Park over the age of eight years old are eligible to obtain recreation cards. The Recreation Center features an indoor gymnasium, activity room, and two general recreation-meeting spaces. The offices for the Department of Parks and Recreation are located on the second floor of the Recreation Facility. The Recreation Center is open Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., and Sundays 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Costello Park Pool, located behind the Recreation Center, is a community pool featuring four race lanes and a separate covered wading pool. Concessions, showers and locker rooms are made available for citizen convenience. Costello Park Pool opens on Memorial Day weekend. Pools are open weekends only until June 18, 2005. Hours are ever day of the week 12:00 Noon until 7:00 p.m.
