The Department of Parks and Recreation serves a staff liaison for the City of Manassas Park Special Events Committee, a subcommittee of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission (PRAC).  The Special Events Committee is a citizen based volunteer committee that assists Department Staff in the planning, programming and implementation of various special events throughout the calendar year.  

The Special Events Committee meets every 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Costello Park Recreation Center.  Citizens interested in serving on the Special Events Committee should call Theresa Polk at (703) 335 – 8874 for additional information.
